fiibac is a quick, easy to use feedback tool that enhances the communication and trust between athlete and coach, providing individualised development against standardised definitions. Combining the results of the athlete’s latest fitness tests and assessments to create an overall Fiibac score. The score dynamically changes with each assessment.
Athletes have the ability to take personal ownership and accountability of their performance and progress, while the coach provides an expert perspective of feedback, providing a holistic view of strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement.

fiibac Background
fiibac has been created by leading business, sports and academic individuals who all faced similar challenges in their fields. Providing effective, consistent feedback to continuously improve individuals in their teams.
The lack of an accessible tool, that is easy to use, that people would use on a regular basis. In sport structured feedback rarely happened, unless you are very fortunate, which usually consists of a labour intensive spreadsheet. Typically a single persons view, with no self reflection and hard to understand without being talked through by the assessor.
In business ‘quality feedback’ is a commonly used term, but rarely used effectively. Typically, it is a static document, all be it electronic, that was pulled out on a quarterly or annual basis for discussion and updating. Generally, there was little positive impact that stimulated continual self-improvement, rather ‘binge completion’ of electronic documents for the sake of ticking a corporate box.
Having the fortune of previously working with two recognised academics (Gary Pyke & Stuart Neath – be your own career consultant) in the field of personal development, we have been able to apply their goal setting models: SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Timely) and IDEAL (Inspirational, Defined, Energising, Aspirational, Leading) whilst building the app.
It is a common business mantra that we need to take the attributes, mindset and focus required to be an elite athlete into the business world. However, very rarely other than listening to an inspirational coach or athlete is this applicable to the audience. Finding a way to be able to apply all of our collective learnings, from business and elite sport has resulted in fiibac being created.
